Help clients sign in and find their bookings

Clients sign in with an emailed link or code, with no password. Explain My bookings, expired links and booking inside Instagram or Facebook.

Quick answer

Clients never need a password. They sign in with a link or code sent to their email, then see their bookings, purchases and account. This guide explains where clients sign in, what to do when a link has expired, and how booking works inside Instagram and Facebook.

Before you begin

  • A published booking page with at least one bookable session.

  • The email address the client used when booking.

  • Studio emails reaching clients, so sign-in links and codes arrive.

You'll know it worked when

  • My bookings opens the client sign-in page from your booking page and your embed.

  • A signed-in client sees upcoming bookings under Bookings and packs under Purchases.

  • An expired link offers Email me a fresh link, and the new link opens the account.

Where clients sign in

  1. 1

On your booking page, clients choose My bookings in the header. On an embedded booking page it is in the footer.

  2. 2

They enter the email they booked with. Junocal emails a sign-in link and a code, so they can open the link or type the code on the same page.

  3. 3

While booking, a client with a pack or membership can choose Have a pack or membership? Sign in. Junocal emails a 6-digit code that lasts 10 minutes, and the page fills in their saved details, packs and memberships.

  4. 4

Booking confirmation emails also include a link to manage that booking.

What clients see in their account

The account has three sections: Bookings, Purchases and Account. On a phone they sit in a bar at the bottom of the screen.

Bookings lists upcoming and past visits with their actions, such as Bring a guest on a class. Purchases shows packs, memberships, payments, refunds and receipts, with a yearly payment statement to download. Account holds preferences, calendar sync, family members and All my bookings & purchases.

All my bookings & purchases shows every studio the client books with using the same email. If a studio filter shows nothing, the client can choose Show all studios.

Each pack shows its name, balance and what it covers. If a pack only covers sessions you no longer offer, the account asks the client to contact you.

Booking inside Instagram and Facebook

Clients who tap your link in Instagram or Facebook open it in that app's own browser. They can browse and book there.

On paid steps the page shows You're in Instagram's browser, or Facebook's, with Open in Safari on iPhone or Open in Chrome on Android. The phone's browser lets the client pay with Apple Pay, Google Pay or a saved card, and their cart comes with them. They can also choose Copy link, or Not now, which hides the prompt on that phone for 30 days.

Clients with a pack or membership can sign in on the cart with an emailed 6-digit code without leaving the app.

Troubleshooting

Start with the symptom that matches what you can see. Check the existing record before repeating a booking, payment or import.

A client says the sign-in email never arrived

Check these first

  • Check the email address on the client record for typos.

  • Open Email delivery for bounces or delivery warnings.

Next step: Correct the address on the client record, then ask the client to request a new link from My bookings and check their spam folder.

The client's link says Link expired

Check these first

  • Check when the email was sent; account links last 24 hours.

  • Check the client is opening the newest email.

Next step: Ask the client to choose Email me a fresh link on the expired page, or sign in again from My bookings.

A client cannot pay inside Instagram or Facebook

Check these first

  • Check whether the page shows You're in Instagram's browser or Facebook's.

  • Check whether the client wants to pay with Apple Pay, Google Pay or a saved card.

Next step: Ask the client to choose Open in Safari or Open in Chrome. Their cart comes with them, and the phone's browser offers wallet and saved-card payment.

Answers before you get stuck

Do clients need a password?

No. Clients sign in with a link or a code sent to their email. There is no client password to reset.

Why can't a client see a booking in their account?

Check which email was used to book. The account shows bookings made with the signed-in email, across every studio that uses Junocal.
