Quick answer
A family account lets a verified booking contact manage their own bookings and saved participants. The contact receives communications; the attendee has their own booking, forms and eligible benefits. Family accounts do not create a shared household credit balance.
Before you begin
Enable participant registration on the relevant class offering.
Use the verified booking contact's portal for saved family profiles.
Check the pack's beneficiary and service coverage before booking.
You'll know it worked when
The booking shows both the attendee and the correct contact.
Each required form belongs to the intended participant.
Receipts and remaining credits identify the same pack beneficiary.

Prepare participant registration
- 1
Open the class offering and enable participant registration if clients may book for someone else.
- 2
Check any age rules and required forms before sharing the class or course.
- 3
Preview a registration with a booking contact and a different attendee. Each participant needs their own identity and required evidence.
Manage saved family members
Ask the booking contact to sign in to their client portal using the studio's customer sign-in. In Your family they can choose All bookings, Me or a named member, then open Manage family members to add or correct a profile.
A child does not need their own email address. The contact continues to receive booking and pack messages, which identify the attendee. Correcting a profile does not rewrite the identity or consent captured in an already signed form.
Archive a profile when it should no longer be offered for new bookings. If unresolved bookings, credits or checkouts prevent this, read the explanation and resolve those items first. Archived history is retained and profiles can be restored.
Buy and use the correct pack
- 1
Choose the intended person when buying a class pack. Check the beneficiary on the purchase before paying.
- 2
At booking, select the attendee first, then one of that person's eligible packs or rewards.
- 3
For siblings, use each child's own benefit. Do not try to spend one child's credits on another child.
- 4
Review all attendees and form requirements before confirming. Switching attendees can clear a previously selected benefit because eligibility has changed.
Support clients without mixing identities
Open the client record or exact booking and distinguish the booking contact from the participant. Staff can select a saved family attendee and redeem that attendee's eligible benefit in the normal booking flow. Attendance, cancellation and form checks must target the attendee's booking.
The client portal and calendar links name the attendee so a parent can distinguish siblings' visits. Keep private portal links with the authorised booking contact. A booking for a child must never be treated as the parent's own booking just because the email address is the same.
Troubleshooting
Start with the symptom that matches what you can see. Check the existing record before repeating a booking, payment or import.
A saved child or pack is missing at checkout
Check these first
Check that the contact is signed in and the profile is active.
Check the selected attendee, pack beneficiary, expiry and class coverage.
Next step: Select the correct active attendee before choosing a benefit. Use the normal booking flow to establish eligibility instead of moving credits between people.
A family member cannot be archived
Check these first
Read the outstanding-item message beside the profile.
Check upcoming bookings, unused credits and unfinished checkouts.
Next step: Resolve the items listed by the portal, then try again. Keep the profile active if a valid booking or benefit still needs it.
The contact sees a child's booking when booking for themselves
Check these first
Check whether the portal filter is Me or a family member.
Check the attendee currently selected in the cart.
Next step: Use Book for myself where offered and recheck the cart. Do not create a second child profile for the parent to work around a stale selection.
Answers before you get stuck
Can one pack be shared by the whole family?
No. A participant pack has one beneficiary, and eligibility is checked for that person at booking.
Does archiving a child delete old waivers?
No. Archived profiles retain history; already signed evidence keeps the identity recorded when it was completed.
