Medians from 24 named public provider rate cards observed 1 September 2026. Local currencies are charted separately; monthly and term tuition is normalized to one lesson only where the published lesson count is explicit. Source: Junocal, updated 2026-09-01.
city tables

Every median carries its sample count

US and UK prices remain in the currency families actually pay. Missing lesson lengths are excluded from that field rather than estimated, and every n reports the eligible count.

A comparison that keeps unlike prices apart

  1. 1

    Scope

Three active public provider rate cards in each of four US and four UK cities.

  2. 2

    Eligibility

Standard one-to-one music tuition with a clearly published 30-, 45- or 60-minute price.

  3. 3

    Normalization

Monthly and term totals are divided only by an explicit published lesson count.

  4. 4

    Calculation

Medians use the sorted midpoint; even samples use the mean of the two middle values.

  5. 5

    Exclusions

Trials, group classes, discounts and enquiry-only prices are not blended into standard rates.
