Studio software cost calculator
Plug in your revenue and we'll estimate the all-in annual cost across seven studio platforms — subscription, marketplace commission, and processing markup combined. Numbers are reviewed monthly; treat them as order-of-magnitude, not a quote.
For a £150,000/year UK pilates studio
With 20% of bookings via marketplace and 95% paid by card, the all-in annual cost ranks roughly: Junocal Studio ~£348, WellnessLiving ~£660, Glofox ~£948, Mariana Tek ~£2,736, Walla ~£3,072, Momence Pro ~£5,564, and Mindbody Accelerate ~£8,888 — Mindbody is an outlier because of the 20% marketplace commission on app-attributed bookings, and Momence climbs on its 2.5% per-booking platform fee plus higher card rate. The calculator below lets you change the inputs to match your studio. Last reviewed 21 May 2026.

The math, spelled out
For each tool the calculator computes three numbers and adds them: subscription is the published monthly tier × 12; marketplaceis your annual revenue × the % you said came from app/marketplace discovery × the tool's commission rate; and processing markupis your annual card volume × basis-points gap over Stripe direct. We omit add-ons (SMS, branded mobile app, additional locations) because pricing for those isn't public — they push the incumbent totals higher, not lower.
FAQ
What does this calculator include beyond the sticker price?
It models three layers: monthly subscription (annualised), marketplace commission on the share of revenue attributed to the tool's discovery surface, and processing markup over what Stripe direct would charge — expressed in basis points on annual card volume. The output is a closer approximation of the all-in annual cost than any vendor pricing page will give you.
Where do the marketplace and processing assumptions come from?
Marketplace commission: Mindbody publishes 20% capped at $30/transaction on app-discovered bookings. The other tools don't run a comparable marketplace, so that field is zeroed. Processing: most platforms pass through Stripe rates with no markup — the exception is Momence Pro, which adds a 2.5% per-booking platform fee on top of a higher gross card rate (US 3.9% + 30¢ vs Stripe direct 2.9% + 30¢), modelled here as roughly 350 basis points over your own Stripe. Numbers are rounded for clarity, not negotiated quotes.
Why is Junocal cheaper in almost every scenario?
Three structural reasons: lower published subscription price, no marketplace commission (we don't run one), and Stripe Connect Standard so your existing Stripe rates pass through directly with no markup on top. The calculator surfaces what those structural choices add up to on your specific revenue.
Are these prices exact?
No. Incumbent vendor pricing is rarely published transparently and varies by negotiation at signup. The numbers used here are reasonable midpoints based on publicly documented rates and operator reports. Use the result as an order-of-magnitude estimate, not a quote.
