private notes, thoughtful handovers

Remember the person behind the booking.

Record your observations and next steps on a client’s profile. Notes start private to you. When a colleague needs the context, share a completed note with the people you choose.

Included on Starter, Studio and Growth.

How it works

  1. Start with the client

Open their profile and create a note, or start from an eligible booking or participant to keep the visit connected too.

  2. Write, then complete

Choose a simple note, a SOAP note or your own template. Drafts autosave; completing a note locks the original and later corrections become dated updates.

  3. Share when useful

Choose specific eligible teammates on a completed note. They find it in Shared with me and can read it without editing or sharing it onward.

Private from the start

A note belongs to its author. Other teammates do not automatically gain access because they work at the same business or hold an administrator role. Clients do not see these staff-written notes in their booking portal.

A structure that suits your work

Use a simple note for observations and follow-up, or SOAP sections: Subjective, Objective, Assessment and Plan. Save your own templates for a consistent structure; templates remain private.

Client history with visit context

Every note is attached to a client. A note started from a supported booking can also identify the appointment or class participant. For a course, start from the client profile and describe the session as needed.

Selected teammates, view-only access

Share with named active owners, administrators or instructors in your business. Recipients can read the completed note and its dated updates, but cannot edit, delete or reshare it. Shared notes are excluded from bulk exports.

Two separate places for two different jobs

Client forms collects the client’s answers, consent and photos. Client notes holds your own observations. You can reach the relevant information from the client record, while forms and notes retain separate navigation and permissions.

My notes keeps your writing together; Shared with me shows notes colleagues have chosen to share. Remove a person’s access when they no longer need it. Leaving the business or moving to an ineligible role also removes the sharing grant; rejoining does not restore it automatically.

Removing access prevents future access to the note in Junocal. It cannot retract anything a recipient has already read or copied. SOAP is an optional note structure, not a claim that Junocal is an EHR, provides insurance billing or offers HIPAA support.

Common questions

What does SOAP mean?

SOAP stands for Subjective, Objective, Assessment and Plan. It is an optional four-part writing structure. Choose a simple note if those headings do not fit your work.

Is a note attached to a service or a client?

Every note is attached to a client. It can also link to a specific supported booking or participant when started from that visit. It is not automatically shared across everyone booking the same service.

Can I keep some notes private and share others?

Yes. Sharing is chosen separately for each completed note. Drafts remain private, and completing a note does not share it automatically.

Can teammates change a shared note?

No. Sharing gives view-only access, including later dated updates. Only the author controls the note and its sharing. Recipients cannot edit, delete, add updates or reshare it.

Which plan includes client notes?

Client notes, templates and selected teammate sharing are included on Starter, Studio and Growth. Your plan’s normal team-seat limits still apply.
