Check in clients and track attendance

Use Junocal's day-of check-in view, mark arrivals accurately and keep class attendance useful for client history and reports.

4 min readLast reviewed

The short version

Open Check-in for today's live classes, select the correct session and mark each booked client as they arrive. Reconcile missing or walk-in bookings before the day ends so histories and reports stay trustworthy.

Run the day-of view

  1. 1

Open Check-in on the front-desk device.

  2. 2

Choose the correct dated class and verify its instructor, room and start time.

  3. 3

Mark each client as they arrive rather than checking in the whole roster at once.

  4. 4

Open the client or booking when a name, entitlement or intake status needs investigation.

Handle roster differences

  • For a walk-in, create or find the client and make a proper booking before recording attendance.

  • For a client on the wrong session, move or correct the booking rather than checking in an unrelated record.

  • Leave a no-show unconfirmed until staff have checked whether the client attended under another name or booking.

  • Escalate payment or policy exceptions from the original booking so the financial context stays attached.

Why accurate attendance matters

Attendance feeds client history, class performance and retention reporting. Small day-of shortcuts become misleading trends later, so finish the roster while the instructor or front-desk team can still remember what happened.

common questions

Answers before you get stuck

Where is Junocal's check-in screen?

Open Check-in from the operator navigation. It provides a day-of view of the sessions and booked clients that staff need at reception.

Should I check in a walk-in before creating a booking?

Create or find the client and record the proper booking first. That preserves entitlement, payment and attendance history on the same record.
