Add class booking to your Squarespace website

Show your class timetable, packs and memberships on Squarespace with one Code Block. Setup steps, the plan you need, and switching from Mindbody or Acuity.

Quick answer

In Junocal, open Booking page → Embed and copy the code. In Squarespace, add a Code Block to your booking page, paste the code and save. The live schedule needs a Squarespace Core, Plus or Advanced plan; on Basic, link a Button block to your Junocal booking page instead. Check the page in Safe Mode or a logged-out private window, because Squarespace can hide code while you're logged in.

Before you begin

  • At least one published class, course or product in Junocal, so the page has something to show.

  • Owner or admin access in Junocal, and permission to edit pages on the Squarespace site.

  • Your Squarespace plan name. The live schedule needs Core, Plus or Advanced.

You'll know it worked when

  • In Safe Mode or a logged-out private window, the page shows your timetable rather than code, a blank space or a plain link.

  • Choosing a class opens your Junocal booking page at the right class, date and price.

  • On a phone, the timetable fits the screen without sideways scrolling.

Add Junocal booking to Squarespace

Clients browse your timetable on your own Squarespace page, then register and pay on your secure Junocal booking page. Payments go to your own Stripe account. When you add a barre class or cancel a Saturday music session in Junocal, the page updates without another trip into Squarespace.

  1. 1

In Junocal, open Booking page → Embed. Choose Full booking page to show classes, appointments, packs and memberships together, or pick one section such as Schedule, Courses or Memberships.

  2. 2

Adjust the look if you need to, such as the theme or button colour, then select Copy under Copy this code.

  3. 3

In Squarespace, open the page where clients should book, such as Timetable or Book a class, and click Edit.

  4. 4

Click Add Block, or an insert point on a 7.0 site, and choose Code.

  5. 5

Paste the code. Leave the block's Mode set to HTML and Display Source turned off, then save the page.

  6. 6

Open the page with Preview in Safe Mode, or in a private window while logged out, and check it on your phone. Choose a class and follow it to checkout without paying.

Which Squarespace plan you need

Squarespace runs JavaScript and iframes in Code Blocks on its Core, Plus and Advanced plans. Junocal's live schedule uses both, so it needs one of those plans.

On Basic, Squarespace doesn't run the script, so the schedule can't load. The code includes a plain “Book [your studio] online” link that needs no script, so visitors see that link instead. It opens your full Junocal booking page, where clients can book everything you offer.

For a clearer call to action on Basic, add a Squarespace Button block that links to your Junocal booking page, or paste the Book online button from the same Embed page. The button is plain HTML with no script.

Moving from a Mindbody widget on Squarespace

If your Squarespace site shows a Mindbody timetable, it usually sits in a Code Block. Switching to Junocal means replacing that one block. Your pages and design stay as they are.

  1. 1

Export your client list from Mindbody as a CSV and import it into Junocal through Migrate.

  2. 2

Set up your weekly classes, packs and memberships in Junocal, and connect your own Stripe account.

  3. 3

Add the Junocal code to a new, unlinked Squarespace page and test a booking there.

  4. 4

On your switch date, open the Code Block that holds the Mindbody widget, replace its code with Junocal's and save.

  5. 5

Email clients the booking link and keep your original export as a backup.

Group classes on Squarespace: Acuity or Junocal

Acuity Scheduling, which Squarespace owns, is built mainly around appointments. It offers one-time and recurring group classes with class limits. Its packages, memberships and appointment waitlist are on the Standard and Premium plans, from $34 a month on monthly billing (checked 19 October 2026).

Junocal is built around a class timetable. Every paid plan, from Starter at $15, £15 or €15 a month, includes:

  • Weekly classes with a capacity for each session, plus one-off workshops.

  • Waitlists that move the next client in automatically or tell everyone a space has opened.

  • Class packs that use one credit per booking, and memberships that cover the classes you choose.

  • Term courses, such as an eight-week beginners' yoga course or a ten-week ballet term, where clients enrol once for every date.

  • Pick-a-spot booking for reformer, spin and barre rooms.

  • Private appointments alongside your classes.

Fees: selling classes through Squarespace or Junocal

Junocal ties each payment to a booking. A pack credit is used when a client books, a membership covers the classes you choose, and cancellations follow your studio's policy.

Squarespace's own selling tools add a transaction fee to some sales, on top of card processing. These rates are from Squarespace's pricing page, checked on 19 October 2026:

  • Memberships, courses and other digital content sold through Squarespace: 7% on Basic, 5% on Core, 1% on Plus and 0% on Advanced.

  • Products, services and donations in a Squarespace store: 2% on Basic and 0% on Core, Plus and Advanced.

  • Junocal Starter, Studio and Growth: no Junocal transaction fee. Clients pay into your own Stripe account at Stripe's standard rates.

  • Junocal Free: no subscription, and a 4% Junocal fee on payments taken through Junocal, plus Stripe processing.

Troubleshooting

Start with the symptom that matches what you can see. Check the existing record before repeating a booking, payment or import.

The schedule is missing while you're logged in to Squarespace

Check these first

  • Squarespace can hide custom code from logged-in editors as a security measure.

  • Open the page with Preview in Safe Mode, or in a private window while logged out.

Next step: If the schedule shows in Safe Mode or to logged-out visitors, it's working. Keep checking future changes the same way.

Visitors see a plain booking link instead of the schedule

Check these first

  • Check your Squarespace plan. JavaScript in Code Blocks needs Core, Plus or Advanced.

  • Check that you pasted the whole code, including the script line at the end.

Next step: Move to a Squarespace plan that runs scripts, or use a Button block that links to your Junocal booking page so clients can still book on Basic.

The code shows as text on the page

Check these first

  • Check whether Display Source is turned on in the Code Block.

  • Check that the code went into a Code Block, not a Text block.

Next step: Turn off Display Source and set Mode to HTML, or delete the text and paste the code into a new Code Block.

The schedule looks broken, loads only after a refresh or is missing on some pages

Check these first

  • On a 7.0 site, check whether Ajax loading is turned on in Design → Site Styles.

  • Check whether the page sits inside an index page, where custom code may not render.

Next step: Turn off Ajax loading and recheck the page while logged out. If the page is part of an index, put the code on a standalone page and link to it.

Answers before you get stuck

Does Squarespace have a booking system for classes?

Squarespace's own scheduling tool is Acuity Scheduling, which it owns and which is built mainly around appointments. Studios that run a weekly class timetable can add Junocal to their Squarespace site with a Code Block for classes, waitlists, packs, memberships and term courses.

Which Squarespace plan do I need for Junocal's booking widget?

Core, Plus or Advanced, because those plans run JavaScript and iframes in Code Blocks. On Basic, add a Button block that links to your Junocal booking page.

Can I replace Mindbody on my Squarespace site with Junocal?

Yes. Import your clients through Migrate, set up your classes and products, then replace the Mindbody code in your Squarespace Code Block with Junocal's. Your pages and design stay as they are.

Does Junocal take a percentage of bookings made through my Squarespace site?

Not on paid plans. Starter, Studio and Growth have no Junocal transaction fee, and clients pay through your own Stripe account. The Free plan has a 4% Junocal fee instead of a monthly subscription.
