The best WordPress timetable plugins for class schedules (2026)

Sharon Onyinye8 min read

Short answer

For a class timetable that clients can book from, with class packs, memberships and waitlists, Junocal Booking is the strongest fit: a free WordPress plugin that shows 1 to 30 days of classes from your Junocal account and takes payments into your own Stripe account. Timetable and Event Schedule by MotoPress and Fair Timetable display a schedule, and event calendars such as The Events Calendar sell tickets to events rather than running class credits.

"Timetable plugin" covers three different jobs. Some plugins only display a schedule. Event calendars sell tickets to dated events. A few let clients book a place in a weekly class and pay with a pack or membership. A yoga, pilates, dance or fitness studio usually needs the third kind, so this guide sorts the main options by what their timetable actually does.

Junocal is our product, so it's first. Facts about the other plugins come from their wordpress.org listings and vendor pages, checked on 23 October 2026.

1. Junocal Booking: a bookable class timetable

Junocal Booking shows your Junocal schedule on any WordPress page with a block or [junocal view="schedule"]. Choose 1 to 30 days and a light or dark theme. The timetable shows live availability, so clients see which classes have places and join the waitlist when a class is full.

What sits behind the timetable is the difference:

  • Class capacity, with pick-a-spot for reformers, bikes and barres.
  • Drop-ins, class packs and memberships. A pack takes one credit per class, and memberships renew through Stripe.
  • Term courses with one enrolment for every date, and 1:1 appointments on the same calendar.
  • Waitlists that book the next client automatically, or offer a late place to everyone waiting.
  • Payments into your own Stripe account, with no Junocal transaction fee on paid plans.

When you add a class or cancel a session in Junocal, the WordPress page updates by itself. Each widget also carries a plain booking link that search engines can read. The plugin is free; Junocal Starter is $15 a month, and you can try Studio free for 14 days. See the WordPress booking plugin for classes.

2. Timetable and Event Schedule by MotoPress

MotoPress's timetable (30,000+ installs, rated 4.3) is the best-known free display timetable on wordpress.org. You set up the columns, add events with categories, and visitors filter by category with drop-downs or tabs. Its readme doesn't describe bookings or payments, and for reservations it points to a separate MotoPress plugin.

3. The Events Calendar and Event Tickets

The Events Calendar (600,000+ installs) is a full event calendar with month, list and day views for free, and more views on Pro ($399 a year). Selling places needs the separate Event Tickets plugin, which gives each ticket a capacity.

For weekly classes, the documentation is clear on one limit: "Creating tickets for recurring events is not currently supported." The documented route to selling a run of dates is an Event Series with a Series Pass. The free Tickets Commerce adds a 2% fee on Stripe sales, waived with Event Tickets Plus, which is also where the waitlist lives.

4. Gym Builder

Gym Builder (100+ installs, rated 5.0) is built for gyms. Its free core has a weekly timetable with per-slot capacity, trainers, members and membership plans such as "pick any 10 classes". Recurring Stripe billing needs the Stripe Payments add-on ($29.99 a year) or the Pro Bundle ($59.99 a year).

5. Timetable by QuanticaLabs

QuanticaLabs' Timetable is a paid plugin ($39 a year for one site, or $159 for lifetime use) that lets visitors book a slot straight from the timetable, with a maximum number of places and a limit per user. It exports schedules to PDF and syncs with Google Calendar. Its product page doesn't mention taking payments.

6. Events Schedule by Curly Themes

Events Schedule is a $39 one-time plugin for weekly recurring schedules. It sells event places through WooCommerce, so you need a WooCommerce store for paid bookings.

7. Events Manager

Events Manager (60,000+ installs) is a free event plugin whose readme lists class and session timetables among its uses. The free version includes recurring events, capacity limits and bookings. Online payments, waitlists, check-in and reminders are in Pro ($89 for the first year, then $99). Class packs and memberships aren't stated.

8. Modern Events Calendar

Modern Events Calendar's free Lite version is now downloaded from the vendor's site rather than wordpress.org. Booking, tickets and payments are in Pro ($99 a year), and a waiting list add-on costs $39 a year on top.

9. Fair Timetable

Fair Timetable is a free, open-source timetable for displaying a schedule. It was listed on wordpress.org in 2025 and has 10+ installs.

Choosing a timetable plugin for a class business

  • If clients only need to see the schedule, a display timetable is enough.
  • If clients book dated events, an event calendar with tickets works, but check how it handles a class that repeats every week.
  • If you run weekly classes with packs, memberships and waitlists, you need a booking system behind the timetable. That's what Junocal Booking adds.

Junocal Booking is free in the WordPress plugin directory. Try Studio free for 14 days, add your classes, and put a bookable timetable on your site. The setup guide shows each step.

a few questions

FAQ

What is the best WordPress timetable plugin for a fitness or yoga studio?
Junocal Booking, if clients should book from the timetable. It lists 1 to 30 days of classes with live availability, and clients book with a drop-in, a class pack or a membership, or join the waitlist when a class is full. The plugin is free, and Junocal plans start at $15 a month.
Is there a free timetable plugin for WordPress?
Yes. Junocal Booking is free in the WordPress plugin directory and shows a bookable class timetable from your Junocal account. Timetable and Event Schedule by MotoPress and Fair Timetable are free display timetables, and Gym Builder's free core includes a weekly timetable with booking.
What's the difference between a timetable plugin and a booking plugin?
A timetable plugin shows when classes run. A booking plugin also lets clients reserve a place, pay and get a confirmation. A class studio usually needs both, plus class packs, memberships and a waitlist, which is what Junocal Booking adds to the timetable.
Can I show a weekly class schedule on WordPress and update it in one place?
Yes. With Junocal Booking, the timetable on your WordPress page comes from Junocal, so when you add a class or cancel a session in Junocal, the page updates by itself.
