Works with your WordPress setup

Junocal Booking works in the block editor, the classic editor, widget areas and page builders.

  • Block editor, classic editor and widgets

Add the Junocal Booking block, or use the [junocal] shortcode in the classic editor, a sidebar or footer widget, or any block that accepts shortcodes.

  • Elementor and other page builders

Use the [junocal] shortcode in Elementor's Shortcode widget or your builder's shortcode element. It has been checked with Elementor and the Astra theme.

  • Speed and cookie plugins

The widget script loads only on pages that show it. If a speed plugin delays JavaScript, add junocal.com/widget.js to its exclusions. The widget loads no analytics or advertising trackers.

  • A booking link search engines can read

Each widget includes a plain booking link that search engines can read, and that still works for a visitor whose browser blocks scripts.

  • Settings in one place

Prices, booking rules and branding live in Junocal. Change them once and every page on your site shows the update.

  • WordPress.com sites

On WordPress.com, install the plugin on a plan that allows plugins, with hosting features activated.

What a WordPress booking plugin needs to do for classes

Most WordPress booking plugins are built around appointments: one client, one time slot. A class business sells something different. Each class has a capacity, regulars buy packs and memberships, and a full class needs a waitlist that fills itself.

Junocal Booking shows your Junocal booking page on your WordPress site, and Junocal runs the timetable, credits, renewals, reminders and payments behind it. Bookings and card payments aren't stored in your WordPress database, so there's nothing extra to back up or secure.

It suits solo instructors and studios alike, from one yoga teacher with a weekly class to a pilates studio with several rooms. Plans start at $15 a month, month-to-month, with no annual contract.

Pricing for solo instructors and studios

The plugin is free. Junocal plans are month-to-month, and paid plans add no Junocal fee to your bookings.

Questions

Is there a free booking plugin for WordPress for classes?

Yes. Junocal Booking is free in the WordPress plugin directory. It shows your class timetable, courses, class packs, memberships and appointments on any page. Junocal runs the bookings behind it: try Studio free for 14 days, then plans start at $15 a month.

What's the best WordPress booking plugin for a yoga or pilates studio?

Choose one built around classes, not just appointments: class capacity, waitlists, class packs that use a credit per booking, memberships and courses. Junocal Booking includes all of these, adds pick-a-spot for reformer and barre rooms, and sends payments to your own Stripe account.

Can clients buy class packs and memberships on my WordPress site?

Yes. Show your full booking page, or just your packs or memberships, with the Junocal Booking block. Clients buy them and book classes with their credits, and memberships renew automatically through your Stripe account.

Where do clients pay?

Clients browse your timetable on your WordPress page, then register and pay on your secure Junocal booking page, through your own Stripe account. You choose whether checkout opens in a new tab or the same tab.

Does the plugin work with Elementor and the classic editor?

Yes. Use the Junocal Booking block in the block editor, or the [junocal] shortcode in the classic editor, widget areas and Elementor's Shortcode widget.

Can I show only my class schedule?

Yes. Choose Schedule in the block settings, or use [junocal view="schedule"]. You can also show only courses, class packs, memberships, appointments or your enquiry form, and choose how many days of classes to show.

Will it slow down my WordPress site?

The widget script loads asynchronously, and only on pages that show a widget. If a speed plugin delays JavaScript, add junocal.com/widget.js to its exclusions so the timetable shows straight away.

Does Junocal take a percentage of my bookings?

Not on paid plans. Starter, Studio and Growth have no Junocal transaction fee, and there's no marketplace, so no commission on your bookings. Stripe's standard processing fees apply. The Free plan has a 4% fee on payments instead of a monthly price.

Does it work on WordPress.com?

Yes, on a WordPress.com plan that allows plugins, with hosting features activated.

Can I switch from another booking plugin?

Yes. Export your client list as a CSV and import it into Junocal, set up your classes and prices, then replace the old plugin's block or shortcode with Junocal Booking on your switch date. Migration help is included in your first 30 days.

Add class booking to your WordPress site
