Wix Bookings vs Junocal for classes, packs and memberships
Short answer
Wix Bookings is free to install, but taking bookings needs a Wix Core plan or higher, its packs and memberships come from Wix Pricing Plans and don't cover courses, and clients can only join a waitlist through Wix's mobile apps. Junocal, added from the Wix App Market, runs a class timetable with packs, renewing memberships, term courses, pick-a-spot and waitlists from $15 a month, with payments into your own Stripe account.
If your studio's website is on Wix, the default booking tool is Wix's own Wix Bookings. Junocal is the other route: an app from the Wix App Market that puts a class timetable on your Wix pages and runs the bookings in Junocal. This page compares the two for a class business: yoga, pilates, barre, dance, fitness, personal training and music.
Junocal is our product. The facts about Wix come from Wix's plans page, the Wix Bookings listing and Wix's help centre, checked on 23 October 2026.

How Wix Bookings works for classes
Wix Bookings has three service types: appointments, classes and courses. A class has a maximum number of participants and can repeat weekly, and clients pay per session, with a plan, or either. A course runs on set dates and clients book the whole run.
Packs and memberships come from a second Wix app, Wix Pricing Plans. Wix's help centre is specific about the limits: "Membership plans and packages are currently not available for courses", and clients "cannot use their memberships to pay for group bookings". Selling plans online needs a premium plan that accepts payments, and Wix's UK plans page lists a Pricing Plans transaction fee on every plan sale: 4% on Core, 2% on Business and 0% on Business Elite.
Waitlists work for classes and appointments, not courses. Wix says "Clients can only join a waitlist via a Wix mobile apps. This option isn't available on desktop."
Wix Bookings is rated 3.4 from 1,719 reviews in the Wix App Market.
Where Junocal is different for a class studio
Packs and memberships built for classes. A class pack takes one credit per booking, memberships renew through Stripe and members can pause them, and intro offers go only to first-time clients. Term courses are their own product: one enrolment for every date, with makeup credits for missed weeks.
A waitlist that fills the class. When someone cancels with notice, Junocal books the next client in line and tells them. Close to class time, everyone waiting gets the offer and the first to claim it gets the place.
Pick-a-spot. Clients choose their reformer, bike or spot at the barre as they book, and a broken machine drops out of new bookings.
Payments into your own Stripe account. Money goes straight to your Stripe balance and your bank on Stripe's schedule. There's no marketplace, so no commission on your bookings, and paid plans add no Junocal transaction fee.
The rest of the studio in one place. Intake forms and waivers, check-in from the instructor's phone, reminders and win-back emails, reports and gift cards all run in Junocal.
One price for all of it. Studios that start in Wix pay $15, $29 or $69 a month through Wix after a 14-day free trial, or about two months less when paying yearly. Studios that already use Junocal keep their plan.
How the costs compare
With Wix Bookings, the booking cost is your Wix plan. To take payments you need Core or higher, and on Wix's UK plans page each pack or membership sale carries a Pricing Plans fee of 4% on Core or 2% on Business, plus card fees.
With Junocal, the booking cost is your Junocal plan, and payments run through your own Stripe account on your Junocal booking page, at Stripe's standard rates. Your Wix plan covers the website itself.
Check both in your own currency and region: Wix's plan prices and fees vary by location.

FAQ
- Is Junocal a Wix Bookings alternative for classes?
- Yes. Junocal is in the Wix App Market as Junocal: Studio Class Booking. It adds a booking widget to any page of your Wix site, built around a class timetable with packs, memberships, courses and waitlists, and clients pay into your own Stripe account.
- How much does Wix Bookings cost?
- The app is free to install, but Wix says you must upgrade your site to accept bookings, and payments need Core or higher. On 23 October 2026 Core was $29 a month at Wix's US dollar reference price, or £16 in the UK, on a yearly subscription. Wix's UK plans page also listed a Pricing Plans transaction fee of 4% on Core.
- Can Wix Bookings sell class packs and memberships for courses?
- No. Wix's help centre says membership plans and packages aren't available for courses. In Junocal, term courses are sold as one enrolment for every date, and packs and memberships cover the classes you choose.
- Can I keep my Wix site and switch from Wix Bookings?
- Yes. Your Wix site stays as it is. Import your clients into Junocal from a CSV, set up your classes, packs and memberships, then swap the Wix Bookings element on your booking page for the Junocal widget on your switch date. Migration help is included in your first 30 days.
