Mariana Tek → Junocal

The cleanest migration in the category

Mariana Tek and Junocal work the same way — pick-a-spot, four-mode policies, term-based courses, a waitlist that alerts everyone the moment a spot opens, apparatus history. The migration is a translation rather than a remapping. Most single-location reformer studios go live in five business days with no data loss.

why this one is different

The same features, both sides

Most migrations involve remapping data from one platform's model into a meaningfully different model. Mariana Tek → Junocal doesn't. Five core features match exactly between the two platforms.

  • Pick-a-spot booking with floor plan editor

  • Four-mode cancellation policies (lose credit, charge fee, both, neither — per pack and per membership tier)

  • First-to-claim waitlist: when a spot opens inside the cancellation window, everyone gets alerted and the first to tap gets it; outside the window it automatically books the next person in line

  • Term-based courses sold as one product, paid upfront — swaps, refunds, and per-course sign-up forms built in

  • Apparatus history per client, surfaced on the day-of staff roster

The data shapes match. The favourite-spot logic matches. The instructor briefing view matches. What changes is the price (£29 Studio versus £145–230/location Mariana Tek) and the contract structure (month-to-month versus annual).

the six steps

What the migration actually involves

  1. 01

    Pull the Mariana Tek exports

Mariana Tek provides standard data exports through the operator dashboard. We send you the exact menu paths. Takes 20-30 minutes.

  2. 02

    Send the exports to Junocal

Secure upload through a migration portal. A person reviews before importing.

  3. 03

    Dry-run review in staging

We import into a sandbox version of your studio with the floor plan, favourite-spot data, and apparatus history intact. You sign off on the data and the layout.

  4. 04

    Configure the studio side

Branding, instructor accounts, the booking-page theme. Most of the operational config from Mariana Tek translates directly.

  5. 05

Pick a Sunday and cut over

Sunday evening cutover. Final data sync. Junocal goes live. The customer-facing booking page changes URL (unless you bring your domain across) but the favourite-spot memory and intake forms stay intact.

  6. 06

Cancel Mariana Tek at contract end

Either at the end of the current annual term or earlier via buyout. Parallel-run during the trial is the standard pattern.

the things buyers ask

Questions

Why is Mariana Tek to Junocal an unusually clean migration?

Because both tools work the same way — pick-a-spot floor plan, four-mode cancellation policies, a waitlist that alerts everyone the moment a spot opens (first to tap gets it), term-based courses, apparatus history per client. The migration is mostly a translation between two similarly-shaped data models rather than a remapping from one model to another. Spot assignments, favourite-spot data, and apparatus history all carry across without manual reconfiguration.

Will favourite-spot data come across?

Yes. The favourite-spot data — which reformer a client has booked two or three times in a row, which is then suggested as their default on the next booking — exports from Mariana Tek with the client record and imports cleanly into Junocal. Clients see the same favourite-spot suggestions on Junocal from day one.

What about my reformer floor plan?

The floor plan configuration migrates as part of the data import. The spot mapping (named reformers, numbered positions, apparatus types) transfers; you sign off on the layout in the dry-run before going live. If your room has changed since you originally set up Mariana Tek, the dry-run is when to update the floor plan to match the current physical room.

What about my Mariana Tek annual contract?

If you're inside the term, you can either parallel-run during the Junocal trial and cancel at the contract end, or contact Mariana Tek about an early-cancellation buyout (typically available in the last six months of the term). Most studios choose parallel-run. The Junocal trial is 14 days no-card; the migration is free in the first 30 days.

Does Mariana Tek's Professional Services contract affect the migration?

If you've been on Mariana Tek's Professional Services tier (the bundled marketing services add-on), that contract is separate from the platform subscription and may have its own cancellation terms. We migrate the platform data either way; the Professional Services relationship is between you and Mariana Tek directly.

How does the migration handle multi-location data?

Junocal handles multi-location operations natively — up to 10 locations on one account with a multi-location storefront, location-aware memberships (including single-membership-across-sites), per-location pricing, cross-location reporting, and free CSV export. Single-location Mariana Tek customers migrate cleanly into one account, and multi-site chains migrate into one Junocal account that covers every location. For chains running more than 10 locations, get in touch at hello@junocal.com to talk through fit before planning the move.

Single-location Mariana Tek customer?

14 days free on Junocal. The migration is unusually clean — the same features on both sides. Most studios are running on Junocal within five business days at roughly a tenth the Mariana Tek annual cost.
